A Celebration of Global Cultures
The 20th Cultural Festival featured vibrant performances of traditional music, dance, fashion, and international cuisine from different countries around the world. Students proudly represented their cultural backgrounds, showcasing the beauty of diversity through artistic expression and storytelling.
From African heritage displays to Asian traditions, European folklore, and Middle Eastern cultural presentations, the festival demonstrated how cultural diversity strengthens communities and builds mutual respect.
National Leaders Advocate for Unity and Civic Education
The Chairperson of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Madam Kathy Ann, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of instilling cultural tolerance and civic responsibility in young people.
She highlighted that teaching children to appreciate diverse cultures, religions, and beliefs from an early age fosters peace, love, and unity in society. According to her, embracing cultural identity while respecting others is key to building a harmonious nation and a peaceful world.
Also speaking at the event was the Member of Parliament for Madina, who reinforced the importance of teaching strong values and virtues to children. He noted that although people may differ in race, religion, nationality, or tradition, humanity remains one family.
He stated that unity, respect, and shared values are the foundation of a functional and harmonious society.
Promoting Peace, Diversity, and Harmony in Education
The Cultural Festival at Galaxy International School is more than a celebration — it is an educational platform designed to expose children to global cultures and values. By encouraging students to explore traditions beyond their own, the school nurtures tolerance, leadership, and intercultural understanding.
Over the past 20 years, Galaxy International School has consistently promoted diversity in education, character development, and civic engagement. The 20th Annual Cultural Festival stands as a testament to the school’s legacy of cultural harmony and excellence in holistic education.
As the theme suggests, “Legacy of Culture” is not only about celebrating traditions but about passing down values of unity, respect, and peace to future generations.
